Piano valuation is not easy. Everyone hopes that the piano they have inherited is a priceless heirloom, but unfortunately most of the time that's not the case. However, it is true that there are some pianos that have hidden value, or historical and artistic significance.

More commonly, piano owners need an assessment of their piano for insurance or tax purposes, or to determine a price for private sale. Regardless of the circumstances, we are happy to help you in determining a fair value for your piano. We offer appraisal services in two forms:

Informal, verbal evaluation: a 15-minute service call will allow us enough time to look over a piano, answer any questions you may have, and give a professional opinion of its condition and saleability. See current pricing for service call fees.
Formal, written appraisal: a 20-30 minute appointment for evaluation and pictures, followed by market research & documentation. A full PDF condition report is provided, with pictures and suggested price ranges. See current pricing.
